Steve Darmody is the founder and president of Morning Song, Inc.
Morning Song Inc. was established in 1979, first as a concert ministry name for Steve's music ministry, then as a record label featuring his recordings as well as a select group of inspirational artists. Today, Morning Song has branched into several ministry and service businesses.
Morning Song now manages an Internet Superstore that sells over 600 CD and DVD titles worldwide, a Christian cruise marketing and management company called Horizon Travel, an internet radio station, a distribution house called Morning Song Distributing, as well as a concert and booking agency.
Morning Song became Steve's private record label after first signing with Brentwood Records in 1979, then Chapel Records (1981). Steve began attending annual conventions (GMA and the Estes Park Artist Retreat) to learn better the spiritual and business end of ministry. From almost a decade of 'learning' Steve started Morning Song Music as his label and ministry management company. As his ministry grew, other artists of like-mind and mission were invited to partner with Steve in ministry projects and eventual the Morning Song label invited other artists to join. Morning Song has since become a respected Christian Record Label, featuring excellent inspirational Christian music ministries.
Steve has grown his ministry over the past three decades to include: booking other artists (Morning Song Concerts), producing an artist retreat (CME), and doing graphic design and websites (for Ariel-Media). He developed a community outreach program centered on Christian concerts called Morning Song Friendship Evangelism Concerts.
As the producer of his annual Christian Artist retreat that lasted 8 years, called Christian Music Etc. (CME), Steve became acquainted with many of our nation's finest recording artists through booking them as performing artists at his retreat. Dick and Mel Tunney, Steve Amerson, Babbie Mason, Bobby Michaels, Faith First and many more became friends of Morning Song.
The Morning Song eStore originally was an on-line estore for the Morning Song Music label artists. Soon it evolved into an on-line source for some of the best in Inspirational Christian music featuring many of these artist Steve was getting acquainted with. Eventually many more inspirational artists would join the estore. Now, as the estore has grown, more and more artists of different genres have joined on, finding that the MSeStore was reaching a worldwide market for people looking for rare finds and new releases in many different genres of Christian music.
